Between the sea and the mountains, this sunny region of southern France offers many landscapes: wide open spaces, shrubs, ancient massifs and beautiful gorges.
The stark beauty of this land has inspired many artists, including René Lalique, who in 1929 designed this vase with accentuated reliefs and generous proportions, made of frosted and re-polished crystal, cactus leaves overlapping in a graphic play of repetition.
