Dating back to the 1770s this quality antique Georgian dining table with teardrop feet was constructed of quality solid mahogany. It has two teardrop leaves that when extended form a beautiful oval shape to accommodate about six people.

It stands elegantly on tapered legs with padded feet that act as a support using the gate leg action when extended. Mahogany is a rich shade with amazing grain, good patina, is in excellent condition and has been perfectly cleaned using a traditional form of wax finish.

Dated around 1790, in the Georgian period, our splendid coffee table has a large support of an elegant and bright mahogany and an unusual lower mechanism, which allowed the top itself to rotate.

The finely turned column ends with a soft and rounded tripod.

The table has an oblong top with rounded edges and corners.

The base is in the shape of an umbrella with three legs inlaid in ebony.

The stem is turned into a cone with ebonized rings and the table has an underlying release stop that allows the top to overturn.
