Pair of “Moretti” Ceramic Vases, 1880

A pair of antique French sculptural vases from 1880, made of hand-painted ceramic and richly decorated.

The two compositions depict a pair of “moretti” a boy and a girl portrayed in polychrome clothing as they hold baskets of fruit.

Behind them are large plant motifs with leaves and flowers modeled in relief, which form the body of the vases.

The vibrancy of the colors and the richness of the details give the pair a strong decorative character, typical of late 19th-century French taste.

Ideal as ornamental vases, planters, decorative sculptures, or collector’s items.
