Taking their know-how to the limit, Lalique's artisans devised an “animal touch” technique and reproduced Nic Fiddian-Green's illusionist-like gesture: a balancing act in which the animal is poised on the tip of its snout, skimming the surface of the water. Strong in its presence, helpless in its posture.
